OH! Open House, 2021
A key visual and neighbourhood guide created for OH! Open House’s Jalan Besar art walk, which explored the area through its distinctive trades, communities and cultural spaces. Designed as both a map and editorial guide, the publication highlighted featured artworks, local food and beverage establishments, and interviews with people connected to the neighbourhood.
The visual identity was inspired by long walks through Jalan Besar and the dense mix of multilingual signages found across its streets. Bringing these fragments together, the design reflects the area’s layered history and its character as a meeting point of different cultures, businesses and ways of life.
