Once Upon a Bookworm

A collaborative work with Clueyc, this is an artist’s book and zine inspired by childhood memories of the Bookworm Club, a distinctly Singaporean literary universe and its familiar cast of young characters. The project reimagines the children reunited as adults in 2025 through an illustrated comic, alongside playful features such as crossword puzzles and starter-pack memes. Referencing the franchise’s Smarty magazines, the publication recreates the lively, activity-filled spirit of children’s magazines from the 1990s.
