SUBHAS, 2021
Album artwork created for Tabula Rasa, the sophomore release by Singaporean rapper SUBHAS. Presented as a dual release, the project explores themes of identity, capitalism, community and social commentary. Drawing from the visual language of Singapore currency, including the current Portrait Series and earlier banknote designs, the artwork reimagines familiar motifs to reflect the themes and mood of each album. These elements were recomposed into contemporary covers with a distinct R&B and hip-hop sensibility.
